Our Post Office
On 15th September, 2008 our Post Office was closed without any notification by An Post. Thankfully, the Postal Service has new been restored to the village.
O’Neill’s Londis has won the contract to run the new post office, and we wish them the best of luck in their new venture.

Playground
We are working on building a new playground for the children in our village. Click Here for more information.

Defibrillators
At the moment the community council is in the process of purchasing defibrillators for the community.
When these are in place, we intend to provide training to members in the community, and have these important devices ready for immediate use in the parish.

Gap Training
Global Action Plan is a set of workshops that aim to give householders the knowledge and skills to both save themselves money and do their bit to protect the environment.

An Bord Snip Nua
As we all know, the government is planning a massive series of cuts to the public service, and the services provided by local and national government. From time to time we will publicise these cuts here and let you know how they impact on the lives of our communities. In many cases, the cuts affect those people who can least afford it.

N.R.A
The National Roads Authority plans to install traffic calming measures in Killeagh Village. The proposed works will see a great improvement in the road quality in the village along with other improvements that will take place in tandem with the roadworks. However, the roadworks will create a significant disruption for any traffic passing through the village.
Due to the recession, Killeagh-Inch Community Council has been recently informed that the road works are “extremely unlikely” to go ahead this year.

Water Supply
The village water supply is seriously out of date.
Cork County Council have promised an upgrade of our reservoir for years, but we are still waiting.

County Development Plan
It’s important to be aware of the County Development Plan, as any development in the Killeagh area will have to tie in to overall development as envisaged by Cork County Council.
